Bumbu XO Rum 40° - 0,7l.
(€77.15 Par litre)
According to Caribbean tradition, in the 16th and 17th centuries, sailors and merchants mixed local herbs and spices with their rum and called the drink ‘bumbu’. The same authentic recipe has been recreated in Barbados. Bumbu's cellar master selects sugar cane from no fewer than eight countries, which he then distils in traditional cauldrons dating back to 1840. These rums are aged in Barbados (for up to 15 years) in old Bourbon casks, and natural spices are added. A surprising expression of rum, to be enjoyed neat, in a cocktail or in a punch!
Bumbu XO is a blend of different maturities of up to 18 years, all matured in American bourbon casks. A finish in Spanish sherry casks, made from white oak grown in the Andalusian region, enhances this exceptional product.
Distilled and aged in Panama in an ancestral distillery dating back to 1890, the still used by Bumbu dates back to 1912. The sugar cane is grown locally, carefully selected from the best producers in Panama.
