Macallan 12 Year Old Double Cask is a single malt matured in American and Spanish oak casks, both of which have contained sherry. It's a rich whisky that combines notes of fruity citrus, toffee and ginger. The nose is chocolatey, with fruity and toffee notes. The sherry comes through on the palate, along with dried fruit, ginger and pepper. The finish is dry, spicy and fruity.
Macallan is one of Scotland's iconic Speyside distilleries. The brand markets only 16% of the whisky it produces in order to offer whisky lovers only exceptional expressions, making Macallan one of the finest whiskies in the world.
