Skye honours the rich and varied landscape of the Isle of Skye, its home
home port. From the gentle, serene coastline to the steep, dark peaks
of Cuillin Mountain. Talisker Skye was launched
in early 2015
and offers a round, smooth flavour profile with fresh lemon, mild smokiness
spice and traditional Talisker salty tones.
It
is aged in a combination of toasted and reused American oak barrels
with a slightly higher percentage of toasted barrels.

It brings a rounder, sweeter profile and notes of fresh citrus, sweet smoke, pepper and a traditional maritime influence. On the nose, it is mild, revealing increasingly accentuated notes of honey with perhaps a moderate hint of smoke. On the palate, it offers a taste of toasted oak with notes of honey and a hint of pepper and smoke. The finish is slightly less sweet and dry, with a hint of spice and smoke. Best drunk neat or with a little water. Or pair with a delicious whisky sour.
