This American whisky (not whiskey) is drier than most other Kentucky bourbons. The reason: a higher than average degree (45%) and the presence of a high percentage of wheat in addition to corn in the mashbill (the mixture of cereals). This bourbon, which cultivates its difference, is marked by notes of violet liquorice that go on and on.

This excellent bourbon with a small percentage of wheat is named after one of Kentucky's most charming distilleries. Gold in colour with amber highlights, the ample nose reveals liquorice, woody-vanilla, slightly burnt and rubbery aromas. The rather dry palate develops with finesse on dried fruits (walnuts, sultanas) and plums. The peach-skin finish is long.
