Launched in March 2015 in Japan, Hibiki Japanese Harmony is the latest creation from the famous Japanese distillery Suntory. Hibiki means resonance in Japanese, and the least we can say is that this new Japanese blended is set to cause a stir in the world of whisky lovers. Made from a blend of the best Yamazaki and Hakushu single malts of different ages, it also has a hint of grain whisky from the Chita distillery. Created in response to the shortage of Japanese whiskies and growing demand, Hibiki Harmony should soon delight the palates of fans of the brand. Far from being a cheap blend, it is already attracting a great deal of interest in Japan.
Nose: Fine and indulgent, with fresh notes of rose and lychee. Palate: Full and flavoursome, softened by the creaminess of honey and white chocolate. Finish: Long, subtle and supple, with woody notes due to ageing in Mizunara casks.
