Delicate notes of toasted oak and coffee complement Belgian Owl's typical aromas of pear and apple jam. On the palate, flavours of vanilla, coconut and ginger emerge. On the fruity finish, a woody note also lingers, a perfect match for the origins of this whisky: Hesbaye!
After 36 months ageing, The Belgian Owl, Belgian Single Malt
Nose: both rich and delicate, it opens with a pleasant fruity sweetness: mirabelle plum flesh, ripe pear, butter candy, then a pleasant floral touch gives it a little springtime feel ... As it opens up a little more, it reveals an almost exotic dimension of coconut cream, vanilla, banana ice cream and prickly pear.
Palate: full and fresh at the same time, confirming the promises of the nose ... The attack is delicate and the flavours unfold in an astonishing crescendo: lemon vanilla cream, apple jelly, ginger jam...
Finish: a very long finish, warmly developed with the vanilla of American oak, while preserving the delicate feel of the distillate. The ripe fruit flavours of pears, apples, bananas and greengage fade like a gourmet echo.
Balance: an astonishingly fruity, fresh and delicate whisky.
