In 1989, Alexandre Gabriel fell in love with Ferrand, whose distillery produced an extraordinary, but unjustly overlooked rum, and launched Plantation, a range of rums rooted in a terroir that greatly benefited from being showcased. In 2012, the creator was voted Best Master Rum Blender in the World and won the highly prestigious Golden Barrel Award.
This rum comes from Barbados, an island closely linked to the birth of rum worldwide. This cuvée shows us all the complexity of the blends and the refining work of Alexandre Gabriel, Plantation's master of taste.
Matured twice, in Barbados and Cognac, it's a creamy rum with a delicious vanilla flavour and notes of fresh coconut, cocoa and spices. Undeniably a great value.
This extraordinary cuvée was created to celebrate Alexandre Gabriel's 20th year as Master Blender of Plantation rums. It is a blend of rums aged between 12 and 20 years, all from Barbados. It reflects the very expression of this island. Like the other Plantation rums, this exotic cuvée has been aged in its country of origin, Barbados, but has also benefited from the benefits of ageing in Cognac, in the casks originally used for Pierre Ferrand cognacs. The careful blending was carried out by the Ferrand cellar master, using traditional methods from the region.
