HISTORY
It was in 1872 that Henri-Philippe Desclée chose the Molignée Valley to settle his family and build Maredsous Abbey. After 5 generations, the Desclée de Maredsous family still resides here and continues to pass on family values in keeping with its history.
This valley, rich in natural springs, benefits from a generous and unspoilt natural environment that is ideal for the wild flora and most fragile species needed to make Maredsous Gin.
Maredsous Gin is made from organically grown grapes. The infusion of more than 10 carefully selected medicinal plants gives the 3 Maredsous Gins different therapeutic properties.
