The Pyrat XO Reserve rum bottle is atypical. Firstly, it takes its shape from the famous Onion bottles created by the Dutch and English at the end of the 17th century. For added stability in rough seas, the bottles have been shaped with a wide base to prevent spillage, giving them an onion-shaped appearance.

What's more, each bottle of Pyrat XO Reserve rum is numbered. It also bears the medallion of the monk Hoti. He is the patron saint and Zen protector of all bartenders, fortune-tellers and clairvoyants. Often portrayed with a broad smile and a certain stoutness, the monk Hoti evokes joy, appetite and generosity.

Pyrat XO Reserve rum has a magnificent amber colour. On the nose, there are hints of sugar cane, candied orange and caramel. There are also hints of vanilla and exotic spices. On the palate, the rum is smooth. The palate is greedy. The aromas of candied fruit, caramel and vanilla are clearly present. The finish is delicately spicy, with hints of ginger and cinnamon.
